Canyon Zen Candles
Welcome to Canyon Zen's unscented, dye free candle line made from a blend of soy and beeswax.
Our unscented candles are perfect for individuals with allergies or sensitivities to fragrances. They are also great for meditation and yoga practices, as the absence of scent allows for a clearer and more peaceful state of mind.
In addition to being unscented, our candles are also dye free. This means that they are made with 100% natural wax and do not contain any artificial coloring. This not only makes them safer to use, but it also ensures that they burn cleanly and evenly.
But why choose a soy and beeswax blend? Both soy and beeswax are renewable resources and have a lower melting point than traditional paraffin wax, resulting in a longer burn time. Soy wax also has the added benefit of being environmentally friendly, as it is biodegradable and supports the agriculture industry.
At Canyon Zen, we pride ourselves on offering high quality, natural candles that are good for both you and the environment.

When using your candle, do not use it just for few minutes, let it burn across the tin completely. If the wax does not melt across the tin at each use, you will be creating what is call tunneling and the wick will go deeper without burning what's around it, therefore wasting your candle and shortening its life use. Once it is tunneling and you are burning it for longer time, you can drown the wick and the candle cannot burn anymore.
-
To prevent hazards and to keep your flame stable, a candle cannot burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Past that time, the wick will mushroom; the end of the wick will look like a ball and the flame will not only become unstable, it will burn brighter and bigger, making the container it is in hotter and dangerous, and soot to be released in the air.
-
After every 4 hours of burn time let your candle come back to room temperature and the wax to solidify again, and before relighting your candle, warm the wick for 5 seconds with a flame without lighting the wick, which will allow the wick to be more flexible and won't break when trimming, and trim it down to a 1/4 inch from where the wax is. Trimming will help the candle to burn without any soot, helps it to burn more evenly and safely, and will prolong the life of the candle. Before relighting the candle, make sure the candle is clean of trimming debris and any other foreign objects.
-
If the wick is trimmed too short, the flame will be smaller. If the flame is too short due to too much wax, let the top melt across and pour the excess wax out. Now your candle can burn again and you can add the dried out wax back into the candle little by little, while carefully not drowning the wick. If the wick is buried in the dry wax, dig the wick out using a toothpick. Lit the candle and if you have too much wax for the wick, let it melt and pour it out.

When there is a 1/4 of wax left in the tin, stop using the candle, burning past that can become a fire hazard. You can reuse the tin can for anything you need; storing spices, jewelry, plant a small cactus. Or if you live around our shop, Canyon Zen can pour another candle for you.
