The fan comes with a reverse polarity switch. Some diffuser uses a reverse polarity, and when installing the new fan if it does not spin with the polarity on red to red wiring, unplug the switch, and plug it back on red to black wiring.

Be aware when replacing the original fan in your diffuser with another one, it might be louder, and change the mist output.
